NEW DELHI: The Ministry of External Affairs has warned Indians to avoid travel to Iran and Israel. The government's proposal comes in the context of the possibility of Iran-Israel conflict. Travel has been banned until further notice. Indian citizens of both countries should stay safe. The Ministry of External Affairs also stated that unnecessary travel should be avoided. Countries including the United States and Russia have also issued warnings to their citizens and employees. The Ministry of External Affairs of India issued the directive after this.

The US has warned that Iran will attack Israel this week. With this, the security of the Israeli embassies in various countries has been strengthened. Countries like Russia, Germany and the UK have called for restraint on both sides. The head of the US Central Command arrived in Israel yesterday and held talks with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

The U.S. says the attacks could be carried out by Iranian shadow organizations and could target government and military facilities in Israel. With this, it is feared that the war in Gaza will take a different direction and spread to West Asia. US President Joe Biden has offered all support to Israel to defend against Iran.

At the same time, Iran announced that it will take revenge for Israel's destruction of its consulate in Syria. 13 people including two Iranian generals were killed in the attack. Israel has also warned that it will attack Iran. Doubling the concerns, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that Israel would be punished.
