House of expatriate in Ponnani broken into; 350 sovereign gold stolen

MALAPPURAM: House of the expatriate in Ponnani was broken into and gold was stolen. The theft took place in the house of Rajeev, a native of Ponnani. Rajeev and his family are in Dubai. 350 sovereign gold was stolen.

Rajeev's house is near Aishwarya Theatre. The gold was kept in the locker here. Rajeev went to the Gulf with his family two weeks ago. The theft came to light when workers came to clean the house. The grill at the back of the house was broken.
