TEL AVIV: Israel on Friday retaliated for the first time against the Tehran offensive that happened on the 13th of April. The surprise drone attack was targeted at Iran’s main city of Isfahan. ABC News released the news citing a US official. In a retort, Iran said they had destroyed all three drones from Israel using an air defence system.
Fras news from Iran admitted to hearing loud noises from the city of Isfahan but didn’t confirm it for any drone attacks. Isfahan province is a critical region of Iran where the Natanz nuclear facility is located. Iran maintains that the drone strike did not affect the nuclear facility. According to reports, several flights through Iran’s airspace have been diverted.
It all started after Israel attacked the Iranian diplomatic office in Damascus, the Syrian capital, on April 1. Iran responded by sending more than 300 drones and missiles on April 13 to Israel. Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport has reportedly been shut down since the news of the attack.
Emirates and Flydubai have reportedly diverted all the flights through Iran’s airspace.
