'Marriage fixed with leading Malayalam actor'; actress Lakshmi Gopalaswamy comes up with explanation

CHENNAI: Actress and dancer Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is very popular among the Malayali audience. Although Lakshmi is not a Malayali by birth, she has acted as a heroine in several superhit Malayalam films. She has acted as the heroine of leading Malayalam stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal and Jayaram.

Lakshmi is currently not active in Malayalam cinema. However, she is acting in films in other languages. The 54-year-old actress, a native of Bengaluru, remains unmarried. Therefore, news and rumours regarding her marriage frequently appear online.

Recently, one such report claimed that Lakshmi's marriage got fixed with a renowned actor in Malayalam cinema. Now, the actress has responded to the report. In a recent interview, Lakshmi explained that the report about her getting married to a Malayalam actor was not true.

"Recently I came across a report which claimed that my marriage has been fixed with a Malayalam actor. This is not true. I think there is a group outside who are more concerned about my marriage than me or my family. It is a friend of mine who told me about such reports that come up on Malayalam media. At present, I don't have time to go behind such rumours," Lakshmi said.
