Congress taking help of banned PFI to win Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, says Modi

BELAGAVI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that the Congress sought the help of the banned organization Popular Front to win the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency from which Rahul Gandhi is contesting. The Prime Minister said this while addressing an election campaign at Belagavi in Karnataka. He also accused the Congress of joining forces with parties that glorify Aurangzeb, the Mughal ruler who destroyed many temples. Modi said Rahul, the prince of Congress, who insulted Chhatrapati Shivaji, Rani Chennamma etc. is not talking about the atrocities committed by Nawabs, Nizams, Sultans and Badushas.

‘The prince of Congress said the kings of India were cruel. They snatched the properties of the poor as they wished. The Congress prince insulted great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji and Rani Chennamma. We must remember that their good governance and patriotism still inspires us. Is the Congress prince not aware of the contributions of the Mysore royal family that we all look up to with pride? These are all deliberate statements made by this prince with the intention of pleasing certain vote banks.

However, he is not uttering a word about the atrocities committed by Nawabs, Nizams, Sultans and Badushas. The Congress is forgetting the atrocities of Aurangzeb, who destroyed thousands of temples. Congress forges alliances with parties that glorify Aurangzeb. They are mum on the people who destroyed our pilgrimage sites, looted them, killed our people and those who killed our cows.

Since the formation of the Congress government in Karnataka, the rule of law and order has been collapsed. What happened in Hubballi shook our entire country. The girl's family demanded strong action. Even then, the state government gave priority to appease certain sections. They do not give any importance to the lives of daughters like Neha. Vote bank is their only issue.

The BJP government removed the crude laws in the criminal justice system. Justice to citizens is given more importance in our justice code than punishment. Laws against terrorism have been tightened and a policy of no tolerance for atrocities against others has been adopted. The law, which will come into effect on July 1, will be helpful to all the citizens of the country,’ said Modi.
