DHARAMSHALA: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has managed to keep its IPL playoff hopes alive by beating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 60 runs in the match held in Dharamshala. With today's defeat, PBKS is knocked out of the tournament.

PBKS, which started its chase well, was looking all set to chase down the 242-run target, as it scored 107 for the loss of 2 wickets within the first nine overs. However, the team's hopes of making it to the playoffs were destroyed as it lost 8 wickets within the span of the next 8 overs. Rilee Rossouw, who scored 61 runs off 27 balls with three sixes and nine fours, was the top scorer. Shashank Singh scored 37 off 19 balls. Mohammad Siraj, Karn Sharma and Swapnil Singh performed well with the ball for RCB.
Batting first, RCB managed to put up a massive score of 241/7, thanks to the batting performances of Virat Kohli (92 off 47), Rajat Patidar (55 off 23) and Cameron Green (46 off 27). Harshal Patel took three wickets for PBKS.
