G V Prakash Kumar and Saindhavi part ways after 11 years of marriage

Popular music director and actor GV Prakash Kumar and his wife Saindhavi have decided to end their marriage of 11 years. G V Prakash who recently acted in ‘Rebel’ announced the decision through an Instagram post.

“We have decided to part ways for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect. We kindly ask the Media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support mean a lot during this difficult time. Thank You.” said G V Prakash.

G V Prakash Kumar married his childhood love Saindhavi in 2013. The two have been touted as the ‘ideal couple’, and have collaborated to create an array of unforgettable albums, mostly top charters in Tamil. Saindhavi is a famous Carnatic vocalist. The couple were blessed with a daughter in 2020.

Ironically, in 2023, Saindhavi penned a heartwarming note to wish G V Prakash on the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary.

“Its been a decade since we got married but Just feels like yesterday. Happy 10th wedding anniversary to the love of my life @gvprakash . Thank you for being an amazing friend, an awesome husband and an incredible father to our daughter. Thank you for being the most amazing human being that you are. Love you to the moon and back. 10 done and forever to go!!!”

G V Prakash Kumar is the nephew of music maestro A R Rahman. Playback singer A R Reihana is G V Prakash Kumar’s mother.
