WASHINGTON D.C: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is visiting the United States for the first time since becoming the Prime Minister, received a colder welcome on reaching there. As per reports, there was only one higher official from the White House at the Dallas International Airport to receive the Pakistani PM.
Usually, a team of higher officials will be present to welcome a foreign head and this difference was noted by many Pakistani nationals who took it to social media to criticise the White House officials. It must be noted that the Pakistan PM reached the US through an airline of Qatar Airways instead of a private jet.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Pakistan’s American ambassador Asad M Khan were present at the airport. Imran Khan, who will be in the US for three days, will hold a meeting with President Donald Trump. The Pakistani PM is accompanied by Pakistan's military chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, ISI chief Faiz Hameed and his commercial advisor Rasaq Davood.
