'Lived together for 19 days, he used to physically torture me'; Rachana Narayanankutty opens up about divorce

Actress Rachana Narayanankutty has opened up about her divorce. In an interview given on a YouTube channel, Rachana said that her married life lasted for just 19 days and that her former husband used to torture her physically and mentally.

"It's all in the past. All that happened 10 years ago. I entered the field of acting after getting divorced. Even now, news about my marriage and divorce keeps popping up on social media. I am now living after overcoming many such hurdles. I was able to take life to a new level. A new way of life is now carrying me forward," Rachana said.

"We lived as husband and wife for just 19 days. I got divorced in 2012. The court accepted my claim that I was subjected to physical and mental torture. Later, I came to the acting field. Now, I don't have any problems," she said.

"Now, I don't even know the word 'depression'. A lot of fans call me. I find time to talk to them. Many people called me and praised me for my performance along with Mohanlal in the film 'Aarattu'. Many express their love towards me because of their love for that character," Rachana added.
