It is essential to always keep the house and surroundings clean. Clearing the forested fields by cutting grass etc. will help to avoid the nuisance of snakes. Snakes often burrow between charcoal leaves, logs, straw, stones and plastic materials. Therefore, care should be taken not to store them around the house or near the windows.
Avoid waterlogging in the premises of a house. The presence of water will attract snakes, especially aquatic snakes. Do not allow water to stagnate in gardens. Be careful if there is a cowshed or chicken coop in the premises of the house. The presence of snakes in chicken coops is common.
It is said that rushing garlic and smoking frankincense will to some extent ward off snakes. Crush garlic and then stir it in water and then sprinkle it all around your house and inside. Crush onion and then take the juice of it and sprinkle around your house. The smell of sulfur irritates the snakes.
