Chief Minister is threatening religious leaders: K Surendran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran said CPM leaders including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan have lost sense of place and time. "The Chief Minister is saying that those who voted for the BJP should correct their mistakes. In Kozhikode, the Chief Minister spoke to the leadership of the Christian Church in a threatening tone. The Chief Minister is expressing his anger that the believers did not take up the Manipur issue no matter how much they flared it up," alleged K Surendran.

"The Chief Minister, who is soft on Samastha leader Jiffiri Muthukoya Thangal's criticism, is threatening Christian religious leaders. MV Govindan says they will not stop Muslim appeasement. The reason he gives for this is that globally, communists are with Islamists. That is why they are showing anger towards SNDP Yogam."

"Govindan says that they will stop the popular movement of BJP at any cost. This is an undemocratic statement. CPM Thrissur District Committee is slamming the Christian leadership. The claim that Christians voted for BJP to get foreign funds is extremely insulting. The CPM should clarify on what basis the Popular Front and Jamaat-e-Islami voted for the Left."

"P Jayarajan's discovery is that the people defeated KK Shailaja in Vadakara to make her the chief minister. The leaders of CPM are openly saying that Pinarayi Vijayan should be replaced. Let them say whether Shailaja was made the candidate in Vadakara by Pinarayi to avoid her becoming the chief minister. The massive defeat in the election has shaken the CPM leaders," K Surendran said.
