g

FARIDABAD: The body of a girl who went missing ten months ago was found inside her own house. The incident happened in Haryana. The body was found by the police following a complaint filed by the father who lives in Saudi on June 7 that his daughter was missing.

Police said that the mother buried the body of the child inside the house. Mother Anitha Begum told the police that she did not kill her daughter. She said that the girl had committed suicide. The dead body of 17-year-old Praveena has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.

'She was in love with a young man. She was locked in the room to prevent them from eloping. That very night she committed suicide in her room. The body was hidden inside the house to avoid the shame. That's my fault. I confess to the crime', Anitha Begum told the police.

Anitha Begum hid the body with the help of two people. However, their names have not been released. The police said that Praveena's cause of death can be confirmed only after the post-mortem whether it was suicide or murder. At the same time, the police will also investigate why the father took a long time to file a complaint about his daughter's missing.
