CPM is not a party that protects quotation gangs, false propaganda being spread against party; CPM supports P Jayarajan

KANNUR: The CPM Kannur district secretariat has extended support to veteran leader P Jayarajan in the quotation allegations. The district secretariat pointed out in a statement that some media are spreading fake propaganda against the CPM by alleging that it is a party of quotation gangs. The district secretariat urged party workers and the general public to exercise caution and not get trapped by these campaigns.

'The false propaganda being carried out against party leaders by Manu Thomas, who left the CPM after not renewing his party membership, is condemnable. People should realize this. The responses made some people who belong to quotation gangs in the tone of threats through social media are objectionable. Liking, sharing and spreading such responses through social media cannot be justified. The party has not assigned any quotation groups to act as its spokespersons on social media,' the district secretariat said in the statement.

'CPM is a party that leads the fight against injustice and corruption. Right-wing political parties and some media are making a move to destroy the party's credibility after the election defeat,' the statement read.
