Forest department official held in POCSO case for misbehaving with girls

MALAPPURAM: An official of the forest department has been taken into custody in a POCSO case. The incident happened at Pookottumpadam in Malappuram. The Pookottumpadam police took Shihaan, a beat forest officer of Kavalamukkatta, into custody. Three girls had lodged a complaint against him and the police are examining it.

The incident happened last night. Their complaint said that he chased the three and misbehaved with them. He followed them in bus and misbehaved with them. The police took him into custody based on the complaint. Allegations were levelled against him earlier also. However, no case was registered as a written complaint was not obtained. His arrest will be registered after conducting an identification parade.
