RANCHI: A recent comment made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat about man wanting to become superhuman and even God is gaining nationwide attention with the Congress attempting to link it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Soon after the video of Mohan Bhagwat's speech surfaced on social media, Congress leaders came out claiming that the RSS chief's comment was an indirect dig at Prime Minister Modi.

“Is there ever an end to progress? Development is such a thing that once we reach it, we realise we can go further. When we reach our goal, we see that there is still more to go… man then wants to become a superman… in movies, they show Superman who has extraordinary powers. So a human wants to have such power… but he doesn’t stop there. He then wants to become a Dev. But Devtas say Bhagwan is bigger than us, so then he wants to become Bhagwan,” Mohan Bhagwat said while speaking at a village-level workers’ meeting organised by an NGO named Vikas Bharti in Gumla in Jharkhand.

Mohan Bhagwat's comment comes at a time when certain reports are claiming that all is not well between the RSS and the BJP after the results of the Lok Sabha elections came out. Following the results, the RSS had stated that the BJP's arrogance was the main reason behind the reduction in NDA's majority in the Parliament.
