KOYILANDY: The suspension of four SFI activists has been revoked in the incident of attacking Dr Sunil Bhaskar, the principal of Gurudeva College of Advanced Studies at Koyilandy in Kozhikode and staff secretary K P Ramesan. The action is based on the explanation given before the inquiry commission.

The suspension of SFI workers Teju Sunil M K (second year BBA), Thejulakshmi T K (third year BBA), Amal Raj R P (second year BCom) and Abhishek S Santhosh (second year Psychology) has been revoked.

The incident happened in the first week of this month. The SFI activists attacked the principal and staff secretary during a dispute over setting up a help desk for admission to four-year undergraduate courses. The college was closed following the incident.

The commission of inquiry also examined the CCTV footage of the college office. Various student organizations and cultural activists had earlier protested against SFI Area Secretary Navtej S Mohan's threatening speech against the principal. Also, some people spread fake news through social media that the principal has been arrested.
