THRISSUR: The actress, who acted in 'Footage' has sent a legal notice to Manju Warrier. Actress Sheethal Thampy has sent a notice to Manju Warrier, who is the producer of the film, for not providing adequate security on the shooting location. The notice has sought a compensation of Rs 5.5 crore.
Sheethal plays a medical officer in the film. The film was shot in Chimmini forest area. There was a dangerous scene in the film. Adequate security was not provided to shoot the scene. There were many retakes. The notice said that she sustained injuries while shooting the scene.
The notice alleged that there was no ambulance to take her to the hospital and that she had to undergo a surgery. The hospital expenses were too much. The production company paid only Rs 1,80,000 in phases. I am unable to work now. So, the notice has demanded to pay Rs 5 crore and 75 lakh.
Sheethal's lawyer Ranjit Marar responded that the legal notice was sent as there was no favourable response from the producers after approaching them directly. Apart from Manju Warrier, a notice was sent to her partner Bineesh Chandran of her production company Movie Bucket. Meantime, the film ‘Footage’ will release today.
