KOCHI: The actress, who filed a sexual assault complaint against Mukesh MLA, has now raised allegations against the investigation team probing the case. An audio message shared by the actress on a WhatsApp group yesterday, criticizing the interventions of the special investigation team, is being widely discussed. The actress alleged that the investigation team is constantly harassing her and her family and that they are not even willing to respect their privacy.
The actress stated that she lost confidence when the investigation team decided not to go for an appeal.
"Why didn't the investigation team file an appeal against the order granting bail to Mukesh? The investigation team's actions created confusion. That's why I revealed some things to the media the other day. Poonguzhali came to me yesterday and assured me that there won't be any issues. I told the SP that I was firm on my demand that an appeal should be filed against the High Court's order granting anticipatory bail to Mukesh. The investigating officers said they were thinking about it. If the investigation team doesn't appeal, I will approach the High Court myself," the actress said in the audio message.
The actress raised the allegation against 7 persons, including Mukesh, on August 26. Later, she lodged a complaint with the special investigation team via email. The Maradu police investigated the case against Mukesh. The court granted Mukesh bail on September 5.
