Tamil actor Karthi recently expressed his deep admiration for veteran director Fazil, revealing that he never gets tired of seeing Fazil's pictures and remains a dedicated fan of the filmmaker's work. Karthi shared these thoughts while discussing his new film ‘Meiyazhagan’ with Arvind Samy during an interview with ‘Kaumudi Movies’.

‘Meiyazhagan’, according to Karthi, is a film that delves into the intricacies of human relationships, much like the films of director Fazil. “No matter how many times I watch Fazil sir’s movies, it’s never enough. I enjoy re-watching them because each time, the depth of his characters reveals something new. I’ve always wanted to act in a movie like that,” Karthi said.

The actor shared that ‘Meiyazhagan’ explores a wide range of emotions, including love, fear and humor and emphasized how the film's narrative is similar to Fazil's approach to storytelling.

Karthi also spoke highly of his co-star Arvind Samy, noting how excited he was to work with the seasoned actor. “When there was a discussion about who would play the lead role, I learned that Arvind Samy was cast. It was a completely new experience for me. I never thought I would have the chance to act alongside him. He has portrayed the character brilliantly,” Karthi said.

He further reminisced about how he entered the film industry during the period when Arvind Samy had taken a break from acting and now, years later, he finds himself sharing the screen with him.
