PATNA: Election strategist Prashant Kishor has formed a new party. The Election Commission has officially recognised the 'Jan Suraaj Party'. The party's working president is Manoj Bharti, a retired officer of the Indian Foreign Service. Prashant Kishor announced the formation of the Jan Suraaj Party at a rally at the Veterinary College ground in Patna.
According to reports, the party will contest all the seats in the Bihar assembly elections. Prashant said that if Jan Suraaj Party wins the elections, he will end the liquor ban in the state and that income will be used to improve the education sector. "In Bihar, for the last 30 years, people have been unvoting for the RJD or the BJP. This should be stopped," Prashant said.
The aim is to visit all the villages in the state and create awareness about improving the quality of life, encourage people not to give in to pressure from leaders and work for the state's progress in areas including education, agriculture and employment.
