BEIRUT: Reports said the funeral of Hezbollah's top leader Hassan Nasrallah, killed in Israeli attack, will be held on Friday. The killing of Nasrallah has sparked massive protests in the region. Many people, including women, took to the streets holding pictures of him. They also shouted slogans 'Down with US' and 'Down with Israel'.

Iraq has demanded that UN Security Council convene an emergency meeting as the Israel-Hezbollah issue worsened. Lebanon has declared a five-day mourning following the death of Hassan Nasrallah. Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike at Beirut in Lebanon. There are also reports that Iraq has named newborn babies after him. According to Iraq's Ministry of Health, around 100 babies across the country have been named 'Nasrallah'.

Nasrallah, who has led Hezbollah for more than three decades, has resisted Israeli and Western influence in many Arab countries. He had many followers in many parts of Iraq. Most of them belonged to the Shia community. That is why the news of his death is causing a huge protest in the country. Large number of people are protesting in Baghdad and other cities. They accuse Israel of violating international laws. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Zia al-Zadani described Nasrallah as a 'martyr on the path of the righteous'.
