The LD Clerk exam is one of the most important exams of the PSC written by the highest number of candidates in Kerala. Any controversy related to this exam will cause concern to lakhs of young people who have appeared for the exam. Therefore, whatever doubts are raised in connection with this exam, it is the responsibility of the PSC to clarify them clearly. On Sunday, it was reported that the question paper of the LD Clerk exam for Ernakulam and Malappuram districts conducted by the PSC had appeared on the PSC website the previous day itself. In a report written by our correspondent Sujilal KS, it was pointed out that the question paper of the examination conducted on September 28 for the Kottayam and Kozhikode districts had also appeared on the website the previous day.

The paper, consisting of 100 questions from the exam conducted for Ernakulam and Malappuram districts, is available on the site at the number 133/2024. It is also recorded that it was uploaded a day earlier. That is, those with basic knowledge will be thinking that the question paper was out on the eve of the exam. The same question paper was provided for the exam held the next day. PSC officials are giving an explanation that the date issue is an error from Google. Even if they admit that the date was wrong once, what explanation can they give for the fact that a similar mistake has taken place in the Kottayam and Kozhikode exams as well? Technical experts should conduct a detailed investigation to find out whether there has been a mistake in the technical wing of the PSC.

It is not at all advisable to proceed without clearing this doubt. It is easily possible to find out how many people went to the site and checked the question paper which appears to have been published on the eve of the exam. If they actually saw the question paper the day before, shouldn't the questions be treated as leaked? PSC can't get away with this by putting the blame on Google. The lack of any further clarifications from Google also adds to the doubts. PSC says there have been errors in the time stamp in Google searches in the past as well. If so, shouldn't the PSC inform the candidates about this in advance? According to PSC, the question paper and the answer key were uploaded on the same day. Then why is no one answering to how the question paper alone is showing the previous day's date?

Many are writing this exam after waiting for years and spending money on coaching, books and so on. It is a serious mistake to cause doubts to remain in their minds. If the uploader has made a mistake, it should come out. This isn't the first time that PSC has gone wrong. The PSC had earlier included those who had failed the fitness test in the SI test. It was corrected when it became controversial through the news. Errors in questions are constantly repeated. A PSC member is paid around Rs 2.5 lakh per month by the government for expenses, including salaries. 20 people are now working as PSC members. People should not be made to ask what these people are doing there. Therefore, PSC should be prepared to clear all the doubts related to the LD Clerk exam after the investigation.
