Theft in Supreme Court while hectic arguments were going on. The thief fled with the 'valuable' property while the lawyers were watching. A video of a monkey stealing a lunch box from the Supreme Court and checking it has gone viral on social media.

The video was shared by senior advocate Sanjay Hegde. "The corridors of the Supreme Court had got some unusual visitors recently," he captioned the video. The monkey grabbed the bag kept on a shelf in the court verandah and sat on the parapet while people, including lawyers, watched. In the video, the monkey is seen taking out the lunchbox from the bag and trying to open it. People around can be seen curiously watching the monkey's actions and capturing the visuals. The video has garnered more than 50,000 views so far.

The video has also been receiving very interesting comments. Some commented that the monkeys are helping the common man in the fight for justice. "Milord, I wanted to submit my affidavit but it's missing ....along with my lunch," was another interesting comment. The monkey menace has happened in the Supreme Court days after the Delhi High Court ordered the authorities to take effective action against the monkey problem.
