‘Insulted womanhood'; Case against office bearers of producers’ association on complaint of woman producer

KOCHI: The police have registered a case against the office bearers of producers association on the complaint of a woman producer. The Ernakulam Central Police have registered a case against nine including Anto Joseph, Listin Stephen and B Rakesh. The complaint is that the office bearers misbehaved in such a way as insulting women after summoning her at the association meeting.


The woman producer had raised some complaints in the association meeting regarding some of the films she had produced. The office-bearers said the complaints would be resolved in the next executive meeting. Meanwhile, the Hema Committee report came out. The complainant made public comments against the office bearers at that time. They misbehaved with her when she came to attend the executive meeting after they sought an explanation from her. The complainant alleged that they stared at her and that she was mentally disturbed.
