Three-year-old brutally beaten in Kochi, play school teacher arrested

KOCHI: A complaint has been lodged against a teacher for brutally beating a three-year-old in Kochi. The play school student of Smart Kid located on Palace Road in Mattancherry was subjected to brutal harassment.

The kid sustained several injuries on the back after beaten with a cane. The kid was beaten brutally for not answering the questions asked by the teacher. The kid sought treatment in the hospital. The police have arrested the teacher identified as Seethalakshmy.

The incident happened yesterday. The kid’s parents reached the station yesterday but lodged the complaint only today. The police have registered a case and an investigation has started. The teacher has been suspended following the incident.
