Drug party: Police investigating financial transactions between actor Sreenath Bhasi and Binu

KOCHI: Police are thoroughly investigating financial transactions between actor Sreenath Bhasi, who attended the drug party organised by gangster Om Prakash in a five-star hotel, and Elamakkara native Binu Joseph, a suspected drug supplier. Binu was the one who brought Sreenath Bhasi and others to the five-star hotel. It is said that Sreenath Bhasi had financial dealings with Binu. The police are trying to find out the circumstances that led to Sreenath Bhasi's financial transactions with Binu, who was previously arrested in a drug case.

Once the current information gathering is completed, Sreenath Bhasi and Binu may be summoned again for questioning. After attending a celebration at a hotel in Kakkanad, Sreenath Bhasi learned about the drug party at the five-star hotel in Kundannoor through a friend. He then arrived at the location through Binu. Sreenath told the police that he does not use drugs and has health issues. However, the investigation team has not taken his statement at face value.

Meanwhile, the investigation team has found the statement of actress Prayaga Martin satisfactory. The actress had also attended the party held at the five-star hotel in Kundannoor. Prayaga stated that she had no prior acquaintance with Om Prakash and that she went to the five-star hotel at the insistence of her friends, unaware that a drug party was taking place there. So far, the police have recorded the statements of six individuals. The officials are reviewing these statements. Statements from 15 more people need to be recorded. Only after that will the police reach a final conclusion regarding each person's involvement.

It has been found that another actress was also present at the hotel where the drug party took place. This was confirmed through CCTV footage. An investigation is underway to determine whether the actress visited the room where Om Prakash and his group were staying.
