LUCKNOW: I voted for you and you have won, so you should fulfill our demand. Normally, many MLAs in our country must have heard this from the voters. However, no one would have asked an MLA to find a bride for a voter in the name of voting, but in Uttar Pradesh, an MLA had to listen to such a demand.

A voter requested BJP MLA Brijbhushan Rajput, a BJP MLA from Charkari constituency in UP, to find a bride for him? The 44-year-old, a petrol pump employee, asked the question when the MLA came to fill fuel for his vehicle.

Why did you choose me for this job, Rajput asked the employee and his reply was ‘I voted for you’.The MLA then asked him whether he has any preferences and he replied that he does not want his bride from certain castes. The MLA then told him not to discriminate between people and that he will get the bride he is destined to get.
