Sai Pallavi's ‘Amaran’ starring Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for release. Amidst the anticipation, the actress is going through a rough patch after her old comments on the army ignited debate on social media.
The viral interview was taken in 2020. Sai Pallavi’s response to the anchor’s question on naxals has now evoked rage in social media.
“The Indian Army sees Pakistani people as terrorists and the Pakistani people do the same. They consider Indian army as a terrorist group. For me violence is a wrong form of communication.” said Sai.

Many people took offence to the opinion and are now making a clarion call to remove her from the cast of Bollywood’s touted 'Ramayana' movie. Sai Pallavi is set to play the role of Sita in the movie which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram.
Amidst the protest, there are also comments supporting Sai which asks raging netizens to watch the video in full and reach a conclusion rather than nitpicking some portion and creating a false narrative.
Earlier Sai Pallavi had said that there is no difference between the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits and the cow vigilante violence happening in the country. The actor’s poor choice of comparison also received flak from many.
