Ruckus between lawyers and judge; Police resort to lathi-charge to disperse advocates

GHAZIABAD: An altercation between the judge and the lawyers inside the courtroom resulted in clashes and lathi-charge. The incident took place at the Ghaziabad district court in Uttar Pradesh. Visuals of the incident have also surfaced. The lawyers were surrounding the judge following an argument. The police came with lathis following this.

It is learned that the dispute took place in the court over a case related to an office-bearer of the Bar Association. With this, more lawyers entered the courtroom and surrounded the judge's chamber. The judge then informed the police. Police reached the spot and resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the lawyers. In the video, the police can be seen confronting the lawyers with lathis and chairs in the courtroom.
Meanwhile, lawyers organised a protest outside the court to protest against police brutality. Lawyers vandalised the police outpost in the court premises. All the judges of the court stayed away from work today due to the clash. The bar association has also called a meeting to discuss the incident.
