Dorielton's wonder goal leads Forca Kochi into KSL final

KOZHIKODE: Brazilian star Dorielton Gomes scored a wonder girl to lead Forca Kochi to the final of the Kerala Super League. After defeating Kannur Warriors in the semis, Kochi will face Calicut FC in the final on the 10th.

Calicut reached the final by defeating Thiruvananthapuram Kombans in the first semi-final on Tuesday. In the second semi-final, held on Wednesday at Kozhikode Corporation Stadium, both teams displayed delightful football, but Dorielton’s 72-minute wonder goal proved the difference.

Before Kannur could surge back, Dorielton scored the second goal and settled the game in Kochi’s favour. That goal was born from a short pass by Captain Syed Mohammad Nidan. Dorielton is the top goal scorer in the league with seven goals.
