Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr crowned best men's player of the year; Emi Martinez named best goalkeeper, Garnacho wins Puskas

DOHA: Real Madrid's Brazilian star Vinicius Jr. was crowned the FIFA men's player for the year 2024. The award for the best female player went to Spanish female player Aitana Bonmatí. Argentina's World Cup hero Emiliano Martinez was awarded the best male goalkeeper award.

Manchester United's Argentine forward Alejandro Garnacho was awarded the Puskas Award for the best goal. The goal scored against Everton in the English Premier League earned United player the award. Garnacho responded that he would remember the goal forever and was grateful for the support.

Alyssa Naeher of the US has been awarded the 2024 Women's Goalkeeper of the Year award. The ceremony coincides with the Intercontinental Cup football final between Real Madrid and Pachuca.
