'My children have never done that'; Mohanlal about Pranav and Vismaya

Actor Mohanlal and his family hold a special place in the hearts of Malayalis. Naturally, fans keenly follow updates about the star family. Pranav, who entered the world of cinema following his father's footsteps, enjoys a substantial fan base. Meanwhile, his daughter Vismaya has not entered the film industry yet. There haven’t been any reports so far about such a possibility.

While other actors like Mammootty and Sreenivasan are known to be somewhat strict in parenting, Mohanlal is not like that. He and his wife, Suchitra, have always encouraged their children to live according to their wishes. Mohanlal himself has stated this in several interviews. Pranav, too, has never behaved as though he is the son of a superstar. He is known as a young man who charts his own path, adhering to a European-style philosophy of working, earning, and exploring.

A recent statement made by Mohanlal about his children has garnered the attention of social media users. Without exerting the authority of a father, Mohanlal has allowed both his children to pursue their dreams and interests. He has never insisted that Pranav should act regularly or focus more on cinema.

Like her brother, Vismaya also has no interest in living under the "star kid" label. She enjoys travelling with her brother and friends. Vismaya, like her father, has an interest in martial arts and has learned Thai martial arts. Her areas of passion include travelling, writing, and reading. When asked in an interview about his opinion on Pranav's films, Mohanlal’s response was:

“Pranav is not someone who continuously works in films. He takes up projects sparingly. Currently, he has joined a new film. As for giving advice, I don’t believe in it. Giving advice is no small matter, and I don’t consider myself a person of such stature to give advice. Both my children are enjoying their lives, and they have complete freedom to do so. They have never misused that freedom.”
