THRISSUR: More information has emerged in the incident where a youth was stabbed to death by teenagers in the city on New Year's Eve. The accused school students were walking with two girls on the ground. Seeing them in the dark, Livin of Poothol in Thrissur, questioned this. A verbal dispute broke out over it. Meanwhile, the police said then one of the teenagers took a knife which he was carrying and stabbed Livin on his chest.

Police said Livin died immediately. Though he was taken to the nearby district hospital, he had died by then. The police' initial conclusion is that the murder was not due to previous enmity. Two teenagers aged 14 and 15, were taken into custody in connection with the incident. The incident happened last night at Thekkinkadu ground in front of the district hospital.

Livin (29), son of John David resides in Top Residency on Paliyam Road in Edakkalathur. The police have recorded the statements of the arrested. They told police that Livin first flung the knife. However, it is said that the accused were expelled from the school for their bad character. A police team led by City Police Commissioner R Ilango examined the spot. The murder was committed when New Year celebrations were in full swing in various parts of the city.
