KOCHI: It was late-night drama in Kochi as Blasters fought with courage and enthusiasm to defeat Odisha FC at the fag-end of the game. Noah Wail Sadaoui scored an injuring time winner to help the Blasters take an important three points from the game.
After trailing by one goal in the first half, Blasters scored the first goal in the 59th minute through Kwami Peprah. Peprah zigzagged through the defence and tricked the goalkeeper to score a fine goal. 13 minutes after scoring the first goal, Jesus Jimenez scored the second goal with a brilliant move orchestrated by captain Luna.
In the meanwhile, a blunder from Blasters' goalkeeper saw Odisha making the scores level. However, Noah Wail Sadaoui emerged as the saviour again in the 92nd minute, after his direct shot got deflected and ended up in the net, stunning the opposition goalkeeper.
Interestingly, today’s match had fewer spectators and lacked enthusiasm. Only a quarter of the seats in the stadium's gallery were occupied.
