KOCHI: A big crowd of admirers are currently stationed near the Kakkanad district jail after learning that the court granted bail to businessman Boby Chemmanur. A legion of people including women are outside the jail with flowers to welcome the businessman, who will come out on bail soon. Boby was arrested by police on the complaint of actress Honey Rose for using sexually tinged remarks during an inauguration ceremony.
Apart from them, the office bearers of the Men's Association have also come to receive Bobby. If the bail order from the court reaches the jail, Boby will be released within an hour. The High Court granted bail to Boby Chemmannur this morning on condition of a bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties. Boby will have to appear before the investigative officers whenever summoned.
Boby will come out of jail on the sixth day after his arrest. Boby’s lawyer admitted that his client was ready to compromise on anything to get bail. While reading the petition, the court expressed displeasure with some of the statements Boby made against Honey Rose. Subsequently, lawyer B Raman Pillai, who appeared for Boby, informed the court that his client was ready to withdraw all the comments made against the actress.
