Suspect who attacked Saif Ali Khan identified; police release image 

MUMBAI: Police have identified the suspect who attacked Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Mumbai. The police have also confirmed that the assailant's motive was robbery. The officials have released an image of the suspect fleeing through the emergency exit.

The suspect entered the actor's home through the fire escape of the building. Upon hearing the alarm, Saif Ali Khan attempted to apprehend the intruder. During the ensuing altercation, the actor was stabbed six times. A housemaid was also injured in the attack. The assailant fled the scene afterwards. Saif Ali Khan, who suffered six stab wounds, is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital.

Renovation work is ongoing in the vicinity of the actor’s residence, and the police are questioning the workers involved in these activities. Security personnel said that they had not noticed any unauthorized entry into the housing society. Following the incident, a forensic team conducted an investigation at the actor’s residence, and statements from local residents were collected. To apprehend the suspect, the police have divided into ten teams and are continuing the investigation. Mumbai Crime Branch is assisting the Bandra Police in the case.
