PANAJI: Telugu film producer KP Choudhary found hanging. Choudhary was found dead in a rented building in Siolim village, Goa. Police said they have launched an investigation into the incident. Choudhary was arrested by the Cyberabad Special Operations Team in 2023 in connection with a drug case. The Special Operations Team caught Choudhary when he was leaving his residence in Kismatpur near Rajendranagar. 90 packets of cocaine weighing 82.75 grams were seized from him.
Choudhary was the distributor of Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali in Telugu. He was also the distributor of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Mahesh Babu-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and Atharva-starrer Tamil film Kanithan. KP Choudhary was formerly known as Sunkara Krishna Prasad Choudhary. Choudhary, who hails from Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, is a graduate in mechanical engineering. He also worked as the operations director at the Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Technology in Pune. He quit his job in 2016 to enter the film industry.
