Kerala wins second gold in athletics at National Games

DEHRADUN: Kerala’s wait for a second gold in athletics at the National Games in Uttarakhand ended with victory in the final event—the 4x400m mixed relay. The team, comprising Manu T.S., Sneha Mariam Wilson, Bijoy J., and Ansa Babu, secured the gold medal. This marks Kerala’s second gold in athletics and the 13th gold overall in the Games.

In women’s judo, Ashwathi P.R. won a silver medal, while Kerala gymnast Amani Dilshad secured a bronze. Malayali athlete Harikrishnan, competing for Services in gymnastics, won a gold medal. With a total of 53 medals, including 17 silver and 23 bronze, Kerala currently ranks 12th in the medal standings.
