Sudheer Sukumaran’s career in Mollywood spans over two decades. His role in Dileep's movie ‘Kochi Rajavu’ remains an iconic meme material in Malayalam. However, his massive transformation to play the antagonist in the 2012 movie ‘Dracula’ made his name popular across the industry. In 2021, the actor was diagnosed with rectal cancer. In a recent event held at Thiruvalla, Sudhaeer opened up about surviving cancer.

Sudheer:

“Initially I found blood in my bodily waste but ignored it thinking it was piles. Once megastar Mammootty came to me and commented that my muscles lacked the old charm and strength. It was a message but still, I ignored it. During one Telugu film shooting, I bled badly from the back and had to seek a doctor’s attention. In the detailed examination, I was diagnosed with cancer.

A surgery was performed immediately. Even one month after the surgery, I acted in a stunt scene. Occasionally, the stitch would break and blood would ooze out. I thought a lot about the issue of how a health freak like me would end up with such a deadly disease. Soon I found the culprit — Al Faham Chicken. I loved the charred part a lot and used to devour it."
