Football player and class 8 student brutally beaten; damages eardrum

KOZHIKODE: A student of class eight and a football player was brutally thrashed. The incident happened at Payyoli in Kozhikode. The students of another school attacked the boy when he was returning after practice. His eardrum has been damaged. The incident that happened two weeks ago came to light only now.

The doctors had advised him three months rest. There was a dispute between the students of two schools. The boy’s family alleged that the police delayed in taking action. The boy’s mother said the police registered a case only after they filed a complaint with the SP.
