'Account is being cancelled due to lack of storage'. If you open the message, you will be in big trouble. A fake message that the storage has run out is being used to trap crores of Gmail users. This is a tactic to infect computers and phones with malware and viruses. The message will be under the guise of Google. The email will be sent stating that the account has been damaged and is being cancelled due to lack of storage.
Antivirus software company Malwarebytes warns users to be careful. When the storage is low, Google sends an email that it is not possible to send or receive emails. Spam emails come in the same format. Scammers will say that the account is in danger and that users should click on a link to recover it. Users will be advised to install apps for free for more storage. There is a plan B for those who do not fall for this. If users read the email, they will receive a call. Scammers will talk as if they are Google representatives and trap users. The emails are prepared by artificial intelligence tools.
Impersonation also possible
If users install apps or open links, they will lose their passwords and personal information. Most people's phone calls, messages, photos, and documents are linked to Gmail. Once the email is hancked, impersonation and forgery can be carried out.
