Defamatory remarks: Actor Posani Krishna Murali arrested

HYDERABAD: Telugu actor and YSR Congress leader Posani Krishna Murali has been arrested for making defamatory remarks against a community. The Andhra Pradesh Police arrested him at around 8.45 pm on Wednesday. The arrest is in a case registered by the Obulavaripalli police. There was a huge protest against the actor's statement. Non-bailable sections have been charged. It is not clear in which case the arrest was made.

Footage has emerged of the police arriving at Posani's house to arrest him. In the video, the actor can be seen saying that he has health problems and requests to avoid arrest. However, the police have asked him to cooperate with the investigation.

He had made several controversial remarks against actor and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Posani Krishna Murali also has several other cases in his name.
