Death of IB officer: ‘She didn’t have a single penny in her hand,’ Family levels serious allegations against Sukanth  

PATHANAMTHITTA: Madhusoodanan, father of IB officer Megha, who committed suicide, came forward levelling serious allegations against her friend. Her father alleged that Sukanth Suresh of Edappal, had snatched all her money. He said that Megha did not have a single penny in her hand. She didn’t have money even for her meals. While talking to the media, her father said that they tried to contact him but no information has been obtained.

He said, 'I don’t know Sukanth directly. I came to know about her relationship with Sukanth only after she returned home after training. I told her that would contact Sukanth's family for marriage. At that time, Sukanth said that were some issues at home and so postponed the marriage. We did not know anything about her financial situation.

Things became clear after her death. Her salary had gone to Sukanth's account. This was the situation till last month. Her friends said that Megha did not have money even for her meals. Came to know about her financial situation only now. She did not have money to travel. The police tried to contact Sukanth, but in vain. Her friends knew about her relationship. Her friends in Kochi told her that Sukanth has another relationship. More information will be obtained only after receiving the postmortem report,' said her father.

Megha was found dead on the railway tracks near Chakkai last Monday. The family has filed a complaint against Sukanth in connection with her death. Megha’s phone is with the police. Her laptop has been handed over to the police. Her family has demanded that these be subjected to forensic examination.
