Mallika Sukumaran recently stated that her son, Prithviraj, was being isolated by everyone in connection with the controversy surrounding the film Empuraan. Now, Mallika has revealed that she received a message from megastar Mammootty after seeing her post.

In an interview with a media outlet, Mallika revealed that Mammootty's message moved her to tears. "My phone was flooded with messages and calls, and among them was one from Mammootty. He is not unwell and is currently spending time with his family in Chennai, celebrating Eid today," she explained.

"Even on the eve of Eid, Mammootty sent me a message with some emojis, telling me, 'Let this go, Chechi.' He must have felt that the ongoing controversy would cause distress to Sukumaran's family. That shows his kindness. I wish Mammootty good health and all the best," Mallika added.

In the meantime, Murali Gopy, the screenwriter of Empuraan, has remained silent on the issue. While Mohanlal shared a post expressing regret, which was later shared by Prithviraj, Murali Gopy chose not to share it. On Monday morning, Murali Gopy posted an 'Eid Mubarak' message on Facebook, under which several people commented on Empuraan.
