THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the anti-drug campaign will be expanded and that support has been secured from political parties and religious leaders for this. The Chief Minister said in a press conference that the opposition leader was also present at the meeting.

"All religious, social and political leaders hold anti-drug views. No religion, caste or party promotes drug products. Therefore, the meeting requested that each group should be vigilant against drug abuse at every opportunity. Special attention should be paid to giving anti-drug messages on special days and occasions when people from different religious groups come together," the Chief Minister said.

"We have called a meeting with organizations with youth and female student groups and instructed them to organize an anti-drug campaign. Political parties should also plan activities in this manner. We have also said that including anti-drug concepts in Sunday classes, madrasas, and other moral education classes should be considered," he clarified.
