KARACHI: India's Operation Sindoor military strike has reportedly killed 10 members of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar's family and four aides. This was reported by BBC. India attacked nine terror camps affiliated with Jaish, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir at around 1.44 am on Wednesday.
Masood Azhar's elder sister and husband, their son and daughter-in-law, niece and five children of the family were killed in the attack, BBC reports, citing a statement from Jaish-e-Mohammed. Masood Azhar's closest aide, his mother and two other aides were also reported to have been killed in the attack.
Masood Azhar is one of the three terrorists who had to be handed over to India after taking passengers and crew of an Indian Airlines flight hostage. The plane, which was en route from Kathmandu to Delhi in 1999, was flying to Amritsar, Lahore, Dubai and then to Kandahar in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. Five terrorists hijacked the plane and killed one person on board.
