NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a stern warning that India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail and that the future of Pakistan, which supports terrorists, will depend on its behaviour.

“Terror and talks cannot coexist, Terror and trade cannot go hand in hand and Water and blood can never flow together. The retaliatory action has been only temporarily suspended. We will go to any lengths to protect the citizens of the country.” Modi lashed out, addressing the nation for the first time since the launch of Operation Sindoor.

The Prime Minister dedicated Operation Sindoor to the mothers and sisters of the country. "It is a revenge for the removal of Sindoor from the foreheads of the sisters in Pahalgam. It is also a reflection of the thoughts of crores of citizens. Operation Sindoor is India's message of justice and a New Age Warfare. It has shown that if there is a terrorist attack, it will be uprooted. Every move of Pakistan will be watched in the coming days. The three armed forces, BSF and paramilitary forces are on high alert."

"The pledge was fulfilled on May 7 when the entire country lined up regardless of caste, religion, class, politics. The army dealt a heavy blow to the terrorist centres in Pakistan. They did not even dream of such a big attack. The idea of nation first became strong. India has proven its strength even in modern warfare. The ability of Make in India is clear. India should become strong so that all Indians can live in peace. Everyone should stand together. That is the greatest strength. Big salute to the armed forces."

Crossed the line; got destroyed

Pakistan, which had been providing aid to terrorists, showed another act of audacity in the frustration of India's retaliation. It crossed the Indian border and attacked. Pakistan targeted schools, colleges, gurudwaras, temples, homes of civilians, and military bases. The world saw India's retaliation. Pakistani drones and missiles turned into dust. Our air force destroyed them in the sky. In three days, India caused destruction beyond what Pakistan could have imagined. With that, Pakistan, seeking the help of the global community, agreed to a ceasefire on May 10. India relented on the assurance that Pakistan would end all terrorist activities and military attacks.

Security policy in three parts

  • A very strong response to any terrorist attack against India. Terrorist camps will be destroyed across the border
  • India will not be afraid of nuclear threats. Anything that acts under its cover will be attacked
  • Terrorists and the governments that support them will not be seen as separate entities
