The OTT release of the Mohanlal-starrer Thudarum has been postponed by a week due to a request from theatre owners. The film, which was originally scheduled to begin streaming on May 23, will now arrive later on digital platforms.
Thudarum, directed by Tharun Moorthy, continues its strong performance in theatres across Kerala, with most cinemas still running four shows a day. The film has emerged as the highest-grossing film at the Kerala box office, solidifying its commercial success.
Combined, Empuraan (released on March 27) and Thudarum (released on April 25) have raked in over Rs 500 crore in total business. Thudarum also celebrates the highly anticipated return of Malayalam icons Mohanlal and Shobana together on screen after a long break. Thudarum is produced by M. Renjith under the banner of Rajaputra Visual Media.
