PARIS: American Coco Gauff has won the French Open women's singles title. Gauff defeated top seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the final in straight sets. Score: (6-7, 6-2, 6-4). Gauff's impressive comeback came after losing the first set. The first set went to a tiebreaker after the fierce battle was tied at 6-6. However, Sabalenka won the set.
Gauff fought back beautifully in the second set to win the game 6-2. With this, the match went to a third set to determine the winner. Coco Gauff won the set and the match 6-4. This is the 21-year-old's first French Open title.
