US designates The Resistance Front responsible for Pahalgam terror attack as terrorist organization

WASHINGTON: The USA has designated The Resistance Front (TRF), which claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack, as a terrorist organization. This important announcement is a major victory for India's stance against terrorism.

This was informed through a statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The statement said that TRF has been added to the list of global terrorists and has been added to the list of foreign terrorist organizations.

The terrorist attack that shook the country happened on April 22 in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam. The terrorists opened fire on tourists after asking questions on whether they were Hindus or Muslims. Following the attack, messages claiming responsibility were seen on TRF's social media pages. The Resistance Front is considered a sub-group of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.
